With a gas fireplace, WiFi, deep soaking tub, HD movie projector, and German beer hall within walking distance, enjoy modern comforts while being fully surrounded by the beauty and quiet of nature.

Good to know

We are avid home cooks, so although cozy, we designed the kitchen to be really usable. Enjoy Nespresso or pour over coffee in the mornings as you sit in the reading nook in our hanging chair and gaze at the forest out the window. Cook a feast on the charcoal barbecue grill and eat around the picnic table out front while birds and chipmunks chirp all around you. Take a relaxing soak in the bathtub. And after dark, snuggle up on the extra deep cuddling sofa and watch a movie on a screen the size of the wall on the high def projector.

Other Details to Note

**PLEASE READ: The town is doing road construction on the bridge across the street. As a part of the construction, there is a temporary generator that runs 24/7. The humming drowns out some of the natural peace and quiet when outside and you can hear it while in the living room. According to the Superintendent of Highways, the construction generator should be removed by early November 2026. Please know we cannot control this issue and make your plans accordingly.

Alps Haus is smack in the middle of a resort town where many of each resort's amenities are available to the public. The closest of which, Crystal Brook Mountain Resort, offers an authentic German beer hall with exceptional German and Austrian beers on tap and sold by the liter, and traditional German food. A short, wooded walk down the mountain, visit another German resort and restaurant at Reidlbauer, or the chill party vibes around the pool at Glen Falls House. The Trotwood restaurant at Glen Falls offers fine dining as well. **May be best to contact individual resorts for policies around some of their amenities. The Round Top Mountain Biking Association's trails weave around the mountain. The closest trail head is a great hike down to Reidlbauer's Resort and Glen Falls House. During ski season, the haus is less than 30 minutes from both Wyndham and Hunter Mountains.
